ChatOBD support

For app, account, connection, or subscription questions, email support@chatobd.com.

Tell us what happened

Include your iPhone model, iOS version, ChatOBD version or TestFlight build, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. For a connection issue, add the adapter model and vehicle make, model, and year. A screenshot with personal information hidden can help.

Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, payment-card details, or a full VIN. Send only the information needed to explain the issue. Support is handled by email; response times can vary.

Vehicle connection help

Park safely before troubleshooting. Check that the adapter is securely connected, follow its setup instructions, and make sure Bluetooth access is allowed for ChatOBD in iOS Settings. Vehicle and adapter support can vary. If you contact us, include any connection error shown in the app.

Demo mode displays simulated data. Exit demo mode before checking a real vehicle connection.

Purchases and subscriptions

If a purchase is missing, sign in to the ChatOBD account associated with it and use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. Check that your iPhone is using the Apple Account that made the purchase. If access still looks wrong, contact support rather than purchasing again.

To manage or cancel an Apple subscription, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple’s cancellation guide has the full steps. Deleting the app or your ChatOBD account does not cancel billing. For refund requests, visit Apple’s Report a Problem page.

Accounts and privacy

You can request account deletion from the Account section in ChatOBD Settings. If you cannot access your account, or need help with access, correction, or deletion of personal information, email privacy@chatobd.com. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Read the privacy policy for information about AI processing, sync, analytics, and deletion.

Urgent vehicle or safety concerns

ChatOBD support is not an emergency service. For immediate danger or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services. For a vehicle that may be unsafe, stop using it when safe and seek help from roadside assistance or a qualified mechanic. AI explanations do not replace a professional inspection.
