App license

The ChatOBD iOS app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). That agreement governs your license to the app. This page explains ChatOBD’s service and subscription conditions and does not replace Apple’s Standard EULA or limit your mandatory consumer rights.

Vehicle information and safety

ChatOBD helps explain vehicle readings and questions. AI responses can be incomplete or incorrect and are not a professional inspection, a repair guarantee, or a determination that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm important findings with a qualified mechanic and your vehicle’s documentation.

Use the app only when it is safe to do so. Do not handle your phone or troubleshoot the vehicle while driving. For an immediate danger or medical emergency, contact local emergency services. ChatOBD does not provide medical advice or emergency response.

Live vehicle readings require a compatible adapter and vehicle. Available readings vary by hardware and vehicle; disconnected, unavailable, or simulated data must not be treated as current vehicle measurements. Demo mode uses simulated data.

Subscriptions and billing

Available plans, features, usage limits, price, billing period, and any introductory offer are shown in the app before you purchase. Do not assume a free trial is included unless the purchase screen offers one.

Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. Any offered trial converts to the displayed paid plan unless cancelled before renewal; any unused free-trial portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Deleting the app or your ChatOBD account does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore Purchases in ChatOBD to restore eligible purchases, using the Apple Account and ChatOBD account associated with the purchase.

For an Apple-billed purchase, you can request a refund from Apple. Apple determines eligibility under its policies and applicable law.

Accounts, content, and availability

Keep your account secure and submit only content you have the right to share. Do not use ChatOBD to access someone else’s account or data, bypass usage limits, disrupt the service, or break the law. You retain rights to your content; the service processes it to provide the features you request, as described in our privacy policy.

AI, sync, and subscription features depend on network access and third-party services. Availability and results can vary. Keep copies of important records. TestFlight builds are beta software, may change or expire, and do not promise permanent access or the same features and pricing as an App Store release.
